Boston College Downs Volleyball, 3-0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (Nov. 11)  The University of Connecticut volleyball team fell to Boston College, 3-0 in BIG EAST conference action on Thursday evening. UConn drops to 16-10 overall, 5-4 in the BIG EAST and the Eagles improve to 19-11 overall, 5-4 in the BIG EAST. BC won its three-straight games by the scores of 30-27, 30-28 and 30-26.

Junior tri-captain Megan Crawley (Georgetown, Texas) led the Huskies offensively with 12 kills, while senior tri-captain Jamie Hadenfeldt (Benicia, Calif.) followed with nine kills and 10 digs. Freshman Brittany Stewart (Dolton, Ill.) posted 15 digs and junior Jenny Neelands (Gainesville, Fla.) added 37 assists and 12 digs.

Shardai Davis tallied a match-high 18 kills for the Eagles while Allison Anderson posted 37 digs and Verena Rost chipped in with 58 assists and 11 digs.

The Huskies return home on Saturday, Nov.13, to face St. Johns in a BIG EAST conference match slated for 2:00 p.m.
