Men's Golf Finishes 14th in Florida

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (March 12) – The University of Connecticut’s men’s golf team placed 14th out of 15 schools competing at the Treasure Coast WTC Hero's Classic, held March 11-12 at the par-72 PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The Huskies finished with a two-round score of 659 (+83). The Billikens of St. Louis University shot a 602 (+26) to win the event.
Jason Parajeckas led nine different Huskies in the field by shooting a 156 (+12) to tie for 24th place. His second-round 76 was the team's lowest of the event. Dan White shot a 160 (+16) to tie for 45th, followed by Jordan Burke who tied for 56th with his 163 (+19). Justin Ciombor and Michael Hornung were amongst four golfers tied for 66th overall with a tally of 167 (+23). Clint Hyland and Jon Klein were not far behind those two, tying for 70th overall with a 168 (+24). Daniel Keefe tied for 85th by shooting a 178 (+34) while Mike Murphy placed 87th with his 181 (+37).
UConn will return to action on 27 when the team heads to Issue, Maryland for the George Washington Invitational.
