Men's Golf Ties For Fourth at Lafayette Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, PA (April 10) – Jordan Burke tied for eighth overall to lead the University of Connecticut men’s golf team to a fourth place finish out of 24 schools at the Lafayette Invitational at the par-72 Center Valley Golf Club. The Huskies shot a 611 over the two rounds to tie Robert Morris College for fourth. Binghamton shot a 586 to win the event.
Burke shot a 74 each day to finish in a three-way tie for eighth with a 148 (+4). Justin Ciombor was not far behind Burke, tying for 18th overall with a 152 (+8). Michael Hornung shot a 158 (+14) to tie for 54th, Clint Hyland’s 160 (+16) tied him for 67th, while Mike Murphy tied for 78th overall with a 161 (+17).
The Huskies will return to action on April 17-18 when they head to Providence for the New England Championships.
