UConn Named a 2003 Academic All-America Cross Country Team

STORRS, CT (April 12) - The 2003 University of Connecticut women's cross country team was honored as an Academic All-America Team by the Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association.
Recognition is given to those cross country teams who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The honor comes following other recent recognition earned by the UConn women's cross country and track and field team, as juniors Kristen Meyer (Hillsborough, N.J.) and Melanie Murphy (Newtown, Conn.) were both named New England Scholars, ande senior Allison McCabe (Reading, Mass.) was named a finalist for an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
