Huskies Fall 7-0 to Boston College

BOSTON, MA (April 20) – The University of Connecticut men’s tennis team suffered their fifth loss to a BIG EAST team, dropping a 7-0 dual match at Boston College. The loss puts the Huskies at 4-9 overall and 0-5 in the BIG EAST.
UConn took one win at the No. 3 doubles spot, when Sam Sutherland (Tampa, Fla.) and August Vorvis (Southport, Conn.) defeated their opponents 9-7. The win failed to score UConn a point in the match, as Boston College took the doubles point by winning at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.
Andy Sweatt (Reno, Nev.) took his No. 2 singles match to three sets before losing in the tiebreaker.
The Huskies will return to action on Thursday, April 22 when they travel to Stony Brook for a dual match.
