Pisano Advances to Finals at Olympic Trials

SACRAMENTO, CA (July 16) - Two-time All-American Paul Pisano (Toms River, N.J.) qualified for the javelin throw finals at the U.S. Olympic Trials yesterday, finishing 12th among a field of 26 competitors.
Pisano’s best throw of the afternoon was 70.21 meters (230-4) to secure the 12th and final spot to advance to the next round of competition. He will next compete in the finals on July 17, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. (PST).
Former Husky and five-time All-American Dan Wilson also competed yesterday and finished 28th in the 1500-meter run quarterfinal with a time of 3:48.52, concluding his participation in the Trials.
