Men's Golf Leads Hawks Invitational After First Round

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (Oct. 22) - The University of Connecticut men's golf team stands in first place after the first round of competition at the Hawks Invitational, hosted by the University of Hartford. The Huskies shot a 296 for the round.
Junior Jason Parajeckas (Woburn, Mass.) is currently in second place after shooting a 72 (36-36) for the round. He is followed by sophomore Brian Travalja (Oradell, N.J.), who shot a 73 (37-36) to stand in third place for the tournament. Sophomore A.J. Siekierski (North Grovenordale, Conn.) stands in fourth position after a first round 74 (36-38) while freshman L.J. Tosches (Grafton, Mass.) is in fifth after shooting a 77 (38-39). Junior Daniel White (Westford, Mass.) rounds out the UConn team, standing in a tie for 18th after a first round 86 (41-45).
The Huskies will next be in action on Sunday, Oct. 23 in the final round of the Hawks Invitational.
