White Receives Soccer America Nod

OAKLAND, Calif. (December 23, 2005) - O'Brian White's (Scarborough, Ontario, Canada) accolade list continues to grow with the addition of a Soccer America First Team All-Freshman honor as announced by the magazine's Web site Friday. The BIG EAST Rookie of the Year started and played in 20 games, averaging 73 minutes per appearance. He led Connecticut in scoring with 28 points off of 10 goals and eight assists.
White has been widely recognized for his accomplishments in 2005. In the last few weeks, he has been recognized by College Soccer News with a First Team All-Freshman nod, as well as being named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team and earning conference Rookie of the Week honors during the week of Oct. 24, after scoring two goals against Pittsburgh (10/19).
