Highsmith Named ECAC Athlete of the Week

CENTERVILLE, Mass. (January 18, 2006) - Sophomore Tamara Highsmith (East Haven, Conn.) was named the ECAC Field Athlete of the Week for women's track after a successful outing at the Black Knight Invitational held at Army.  Highsmith qualified for NCAAs in the triple jump with the second-best performance in Husky history of 12.69 meters (41 7 ¾), leading the team to first place.  She also won the 60 meter hurdles and placed second in the high jump.
