Smith and DeVinney Wrap Up Competition at Spring Swimming Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (March 31, 2006) - Senior Ryan Smith (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) and freshman Katie DeVinney (Avondale, Ariz.) swam in their final events on day four of the 2006 USA Swimming Spring Championships.

Smith made two appearances on the day in the women's 100 backstroke and the 100 breaststroke. She finished 45th in the backstroke event with a time of 1:07.06 and 66th in the stroke event with a time of 1:18.82.

DeVinney's final event of the meet came in the 100 butterfly where her time of 1:04.90 was good for 60th place.
