LoRusso Advances At Women's Tennis ITA Regional Championships

NORFOLK, Va. (October 20, 2007) - Kelly LoRusso (Shoreham N.Y.) and Ali Campitiello (New York, N.Y.) represented the University of Connecticut women's tennis team Saturday at the ITA East Regional Championship.

The pair started the day by defeating a nationally-ranked Old Dominion duo, 8-1, in the first round of doubles action. They were then bested by Richmond, 8-3, in the second round.

LoRusso also participated in singles play. She defeated Hampton's Jovanna Sangria, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, in the first round and will take on ninth-seeded Pamela Duran of Richmond on Sunday.
