Men's Ice Hockey Falls To Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y. (Nov. 23, 2007) – Six different Colgate players scored goals as the Raiders men’s hockey team posted a 7-1 win over the University of Connecticut on Friday night. Colgate improves to 5-6-2 on the season while the Huskies drop to 3-7-0.
Peter Bogdanich scored two goals for Colgate and also had an assists in the victory. The Red Raiders scored two power play goals in the first period and then sealed the win with four second period goals.
The Huskies scored their only goal of the night on its third power-play opportunity of the game. Freshman forward Andrew Olson (Alexandria, Minn.) sent a head-man pass to junior Ryan Hawkins (Eden Prairie, Minn.), who took it through the neutral zone on the left side. He found junior Sean Erickson (Eden Prairie, Minn.) going to goal and Erickson scored.
UConn sophomore goalie Beau Erickson (Hinton, Iowa) made 17 saves for UConn while freshman Brad McInnis (Anchorage, Alaska) relieved him and made 21.
UConn and Colgate will conclude its series on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
