Men's Track And Field Completes Competition At NCAA East Regionals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (May 26, 2007) - The University of Connecticut men's track and field team wrapped up competition Saturday at the NCAA East Regionals hosted by the University of Florida.
Sophomore Brian Gagnon (Lowell, Mass.) turned in UConn's best showing as he earned a ninth place finish in the 800-meter run with time of 1:49.36. Also in the event, freshman Mike Rutt (Sinking Springs, Pa.) took 14th with a time of 1:50.39.
In the pole vault, senior Jake Radzevich (Hampstead, N.H.) finished in 10th place with a height of 5.06 meters. Fellow senior Aaron Isaacs (Danbury, Conn.) captured 11th place in the hammer throw with a distance of 59.64 meters. Isaacs also competed in the discus throw and earned a 15th place finish with a distance of 48.09 meters.
Senior Basil Campbell (Ewing, N.J.) took 13th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.09. In the 1500-meter run, senior Max Feldman (Easton, Conn.) was 25th with a time of 3:56.40.
In other field events, senior Daniel Hutcherson (New London, Conn.) finished 23rd in the triple jump with a distance of 14.49 meters. Sophomore Andrew Dubs (Holland, Pa.) was 26th in the shot put with a distance of 16.32 meters.
