Track and Field Ready to Host Dog Fight Meet

STORRS- UConn track and field will host for the first time this season, welcoming schools from around the northeast to Storrs for the UConn Dog Fight meet on Saturday, April 4th.
The Huskies started strong in the outdoor season, sweeping the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach two weekends ago. At the Raleigh Relays last weekend, the Huskies set multiple top-10 marks, led by Sarah Trainor's personal-best in the steeplechase. Trainor's time of 10:04.84 was the second-best time in program history, and earned her BIG EAST Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors.
UConn will host three meets this outdoor season. The Huskies will return home in two weeks for the Northeast Challenge and host the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships from May 14th-16th.
The field events will begin at 10:45 am, and the track events will begin at 12:00 pm.
