Golf Competes at Argonaut Invitational

PENSACOLA, Fla (February 25, 2008)-- The University of Connecticut golf team stands in tenth place after two rounds Monday of the Argonaut Invitational, hosted by the University of West Florida at Pensacola Country Club.

The Huskies shot a two-round total of 31-over par 607 for the day. West Florida leads the event at 18-under 558, holding a 14 shot advantage over second place Illinois.

UConn was led individually on the day by senior co-captain Brian Travlaja (Oradell, N.J.) who is in a tie for 34th place at five-over par 149. He shot a 71 in the afternoon round.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with an 18-hole final round.
