Post Game Notes
- The Huskies are now 3-3 all time against the Panthers and 1-2 at Heinz Field in a series that dates back to 2004.
- UConn is now 3-3 in their BIG EAST openers with five of the openers coming on the road.
- The game at Pittsburgh was the 11th time in the history of the UConn program that the Huskies have played in an NFL stadium. UConn is currently 4-7 playing in NFL Stadiums.
- The Huskies are now 14-21 all time in BIG EAST Conference games.
- The 15-point deficit that the Panthers overcame to win the game was the largest deficit overcome in the Dave Wannstedt era.
- The 79-touchdown pass from Cody Endres to Marcus Easley set a few personal records.
- It set the longest touchdown pass for Endres in his career as a Husky, improving on his 50-yard pass from two weeks ago against Rhode Island (9/26).
- For Easley, it was the first touchdown of his career in a Husky uniform and the longest reception of his career.
- The 79-yard play was the 11th longest pass play in UConn Football History and the longest pass since an 80-yard hookup from Dan Orlovsky to Jason Williams vs. Temple in 2004. It was also the fastest scoring drive the Huskies have had this season (0:10).
- The 20 yard INT return for a touchdown by Robert Vaughan in the third quarter was the first interception returned for a touchdown by the senior cornerback. It is his 12th career interception and his second of the game. It was also the first interception returned for a touchdown against Pittsburgh since November 24, 2007 when Trae Williams of South Florida returned a pick 21 yards for a TD.
- Marcus Easley set a personal best everything in the game. The wide receiver recorded more receiving yards (100) than he did in all of 2008 and scored the first touchdown on his career on a personal best reception of 79 yards.
- The 2-yard touchdown run by Andre Dixon in the third quarter was the seventh of his career and fourth this season. It was his ninth overall touchdown as he has had two receiving touchdowns in his career.
