Huskies Take 15th At NCAA East Regional

BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Connecticut men's cross country team finished 15th overall at the NCAA East Regionals in a field of 36 teams. Senior captain Will Sanders (Wethersfield, Conn.) was the first Husky to cross the finish line in 22nd place overall in a time of 31.46 and was named to the USTFCCCA All-Region Team.
Coming in second for the Huskies was junior Scott Johnson (Old Lyme, Conn.) who crossed the line in 75th place overall in 33:19 followed by sophomore Nick Aguila (West Hartford, Conn.) who came in 118th overall in a time of 34:14.
In fourth place for the Huskies was Myles Udland (Short Hills, N.J.) who finished with a time of 34:18 just four seconds behind Aguila in 121st place followed by Artem Skobrev (Norwalk, Conn.) in 123rd place in a time of 34:19.
Rounding out the pack was Ryan King (Tolland, Conn.) who finished in 139th place overall in 34:41.
There were 244 runners competing in the race this weekend. Syracuse was the first team to finish garnering their second big win of the season after winning the BIG EAST Championship earlier in the season.
