Four Seniors To Play In All-Star Games

STORRS, Conn. - Four University of Connecticut football seniors will take part in postseason all-star games in January and February of 2010.
Running back Andre Dixon (New Brunswick, N.J.) and defensive end Lindsey Witten (Cleveland, Ohio) will play for the East team in the East-West Shrine Game on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 in Orlando, Fla.
The game will be at 3:00 p.m. Eastern and televised live on ESPN2. The East team will be coached by former National Football League coach Romeo Crennel while the West team will be coached by former NFL coach Marty Schottenheimer.
Safety Robert Vaughn (North Attleboro, Mass.) and wide receiver Marcus Easley (Stratford, Conn.) will play for the "Nation" team in the Texas Vs. The Nation All-Star Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas. The game will begin at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
