Erickson Named Atlantic Hockey Player Of The Week

HAVERHILL, Mass. (February 23, 2009) - After a five-point effort during the week of February 15, University of Connecticut senior defenseman Sean Erickson (Eden Prairie, Minn.) was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the week. This is Erickson's first Player of the Week award this season and the first of his career.
Erickson recorded two goals and three assists, including a game winning goal in overtime against Canisius on February 21. Erickson was a part of three of UConn's four goals on Saturday night recording two assists and a goal in the overtime victory. He also recorded a goal and an assist in Friday's game with Canisius.
With his three assists recorded last week, Erickson moved into fourth place on the UConn All-Time Career Assists List with 55. His five points added to his career points total and moved him into ninth place on the UConn All-Time Career Points List with 69 points coming on 14 goals and 55 assists.
