Cox Sports To Feature Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse This Spring

STORRS, Conn. - Three University of Connecticut sporting events will be televised by Cox Sports Television this spring as part of the ongoing partnership between Cox and UConn that began two years ago.
The three events will be: UConn vs. Holy Cross women's lacrosse, UConn vs. Rhode Island baseball and UConn vs. Villanova in a softball doubleheader. The women's lacrosse game was played on Wed., April 15 and will be shown on Cox on Sunday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m. The baseball game will be played on Wed., April 22 and will be shown on Cox on Sunday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. The softball doubleheader will be played on Sunday, April 26 and the first game will be shown on Cox on Tues., April 28 at 8:00 p.m. and the second game will be shown the following night at the same time.
Cox Sports Television is a regional sports network based out of Lincoln, R.I., and services Cox cable television systems in 19 Connecticut cities and towns and the state of Rhode Island. The Connecticut cities and towns serviced by Cox include: Cheshire, East Granby, East Windsor, Enfield, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartland, Manchester, Meriden, Newington, Rocky Hill, Somers, Southington, South Windsor, Suffield, Wethersfield, Windsor Locks and Union.
Scott Cordischi provides play-by-play on the women's lacrosse game while former Husky Tori Joel is on color.
Wayne Norman of the UConn Radio Network and WILI-AM Radio in Willimantic do play-by-play of the softball games while former UConn player, Ericka Nole-Brayton, a member of UConn's 1993 College World Series team, will do color.
Steve McDonald will be on play-by-play for baseball while former Boston Red Sox player Ken Ryan is on color.
