CLEARWATER, Fla. - The University of Connecticut baseball game scheduled for Saturday, May 23 against South Florida has been pushed back to a 1:46 p.m. first pitch live on ESPNU after the Notre Dame/Louisville game had several rain delays in this morning's contest.
Redshirt sophomore Greg Nappo will earn today's start for the Huskies as he will face South Florida hurler, Matt Quevedo. Nappo is 3-4 on the year with a 5.52 ERA in 11 appearances, including nine starts. Quevedo is 5-2 for the Bulls with a 4.47 ERA in 11 appearances and three starts.
Dave Armstrong will call the play by play, while Kyle Peterson will be the analyst in Saturday's contest.
Prior to the Florida weather interupting the BIG EAST tournament timetable, ESPNU was scheduled to air the 2009 BIG EAST Baseball Championship game on Saturday afternoon but due to the rescheduling of games, the Huskies' third match-up of the week falls into the ESPNU time slot.
