Football Holds First Practice in Pads

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut football team practiced in full pads for the first time this preseason on Friday. The team did so in front of a group of fans as Husky supporters enjoyed the first of three open practices this preseason.
Just four days after getting their first official practice, the Huskies got started in full gear from 3:15 p.m. to 5:35 p.m. as fans were able to watch. UConn have two more open practices scheduled this season with the next on Thursday, Aug. 20 from 3:55 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and the final schedule for Saturday, Aug. 22 from 9:10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
