Golf Team Earns Academic Recognition

Storrs, Conn. - The University of Connecticut golf team has earned 2009 All-Academic honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America
The Huskies are among only 45 teams at the Division I level to earn recognition from the GCAA for its cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or better. UConn joined Louisville and Seton Hall as the only BIG EAST schools to receive the honor.
East Tennessee State was named the GCAA Academic National Champion for 2009 with a team G.P.A. of 3.78.
The Huskies had four players earn BIG EAST All-Academic honors in 2008-09, Jeb Buchanan, Chris DeLucia, L.J. Tosches and Jeremy Troy.
