Three Husky Golfers Named All-Region

Chattanooga, Tenn. - Three University of Connecticut golfers are among the players named Wednesday as Golf Coaches Association of America Division I PING All-Region honorees.
Junior Matt Dubrowski and sophomores Jeb Buchanan and Adam Vaccari (Winsted, Conn.) earned a spot on the Northeast Region squad. A total of 153 players across six regions earned selection for 2010.
All three players were named to the All-New England First Team last month after helping UConn to an eight-shot win over Sacred Heart for the New England title, giving UConn the New England double for 2009-10. The Huskies won the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship in October. Dubrowski also earned All-New England honors in the fall after finishing tied for eighth.
Vaccari and Buchanan were also each named to the 2010 All-BIG EAST Conference Golf team, announced last month by the BIG EAST.
