STORRS, Conn. - UConn baseball catcher Joe Pavone was featured in an article on NESN.com for his solid play this summer in the Cape Cod Baseball League.
Pavone's team-leading .296 batting average as well as his great defensive play as a catcher for Chatham earned him a spot in the 2010 CCBL All-Star Game, which was played Wednesday night at Fenway Park in Boston.
On Wednesday, Pavone was 0-for-1 with a walk and a line out to centerfield in his four innings played for the East All-Stars, who lost to the West All-Stars 5-0 in front of a crowd of 10,470 at Fenway Park.
