Springer Named an ESPN Preseason All-American

STORRS, Conn. - George Springer of the UConn baseball team has been named an ESPN Preseason All-American as announced on Wednesday.
The UConn junior was recently tagged as the 2011 BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year after finishing the 2010 season with 82 hits, 84 runs scored and 62 RBI in 64 games played. He also posted a batting average of .337 with 18 home runs.
Springer is joined by St. John's Jeremy Baltz and South Carolina's Jackie Bradley, Jr. as the three outfielders on the team. Click here to see the complete list provided by ESPN.com.
