Kyler Fedko Called Up To Major Leagues

MINNEAPOLIS - Former UConn baseball 2021 All-American Kyler Fedko received a call up to the Major Leagues by the Minnesota Twins on June 14th.

The 12th round pick of the Twins in 2021 made his Major League Debut on June 15 against the Texas Rangers in Arlington, Texas.

Fedko becomes the 21st UConn baseball player to reach The Show and is the 10th former Husky under head coach Jim Penders to make the Big Leagues.

The 2021 BIG EAST Player of the Year played three season at UConn before being drafted after a monster junior season. The outfielder hit .398 with 14 doubles, 12 home runs and 53 RBI and led the BIG EAST Conference in AVG, runs (57), hits (78), on-base percentage (.483) and total bases (132).

It is the third-straight MLB season that a Husky has made his MLB debut. Ben Casparius debuted in 2024 and PJ Poulin got the call up in 2025.
