Men's Golf Competes at Wexford Intercollegiate Tournament

STORRS, Conn. (January 22, 2011) - The UConn men's golf team traveled to Hilton Head Island, S.C. and competed at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate Tournament. The Huskies placed 13th as a team. Sophomore Brian Hughes had the top finish for UConn as he placed 24th.

Hughes fired rounds of 75-74-78 - 227 (+11) to lead the way for UConn while Jeb Buchanan carded rounds of 81-79-76 - 236 (+20) to finish in a tie for 55th.

Connecticut is back in action on Monday, March 7 when the team competes in the Caribbean Intercollegiate at the Cost Caribe Resort in Puerto Rico. The event will span March 7-9.
