WILLIMANTIC, Conn. - Wednesday was a day to "Celebrate Radio!" in Willimantic, Conn., with WILI-AM. WILI-AM morning personality Wayne Norman took his popular show on the road at That Breakfast Place on the Boston Post Road.
UConn head baseball coach Jim Penders was a guest on the show and talked about the recent Husky season and also shared some thoughts on radio while he was growing up.
WILI-AM is also a long-time affiliate of the UConn Radio Network and Norman is the color announcer for Husky football and men's basketball games on the radio. Among the other guests on Wednesday was former UConn men's basketball standout Wes Bialosuknia.
