Doug Gnodtke Named Senior Associate Director of Athletics

STORRS, Conn. - Doug Gnodtke, who served has the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations for the University at Buffalo since 2010, has been named the Senior Associate Director of Athletics/CFO and Internal Operations, at the University of Connecticut.
In additional to his duties in the financial and budgetary areas, Gnodtke will also serve as the sports administrator for the UConn football, men’s ice hockey and women’s ice hockey teams.
At Buffalo, Gnodtke oversaw all internal operations, including business, human resources, capital projects, facilities and game operations, while also serving as the sports administrator for football. He also oversaw the athletic training and sports performance departments.
Prior to coming to Buffalo, Gnodtke served the University of Michigan as an assistant to the Athletic Director, assisting in the administration of football, men's and women's basketball, hockey and strength and conditioning. He also assisted in the area of Academic Services and Development and assisted with strategic planning as well as the Michigan Athletic Hall of Honor.
Gnodtke received his bachelor’s of arts degree in sports management and communication from Michigan and his master’s of business administration from Michigan's Ross School of Business in 2006. Gnodtke also served internships with both the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers during his collegiate career.
Gnodtke and his wife Molly will make their home in Glastonbury, Conn.
