Varsity Eight Finishes Second At Home Meet

COVENTRY, Conn. - The University of Connecticut home women's rowing race had to be cancelled after one event on Saturday due to unrowable conditions. UConn's varsity eight ran in a time of 6:53.6 - with Trinity winning the event and Coast Guard third. Further races with Colgate and Marist were scheduled but had to be cancelled.
The UConn varsity eight boat was junior Charlotte Kelley (Simsbury, Conn.), junior Natalie Carlone (Fort Washington, Pa.), senior Hillary Wiles-Lafayette (Litchfield, Conn.), sophomore Kathryn Hughes (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), senior Caitlin Swallow (South Glastonbury, Conn.), junior Julia Roth (Weston, Conn.), junior Kendra Kohanski (East Lyme, Conn.), senior Brittany DePoi (Brookfield, Conn.) and senior Adrienne Barrett (West Granby, Conn.).
UConn returns to action on Saturday and Sunday when it participates in the Knecht Cup in Camden, N.J.
