On the game:
"Traditionally, this is one of the hardest games to play. There is a lot going on, you aren't sure if everyone is mentally here or not here. Sometimes you think that things will be easier than what they seem and it sometimes takes some time to get adjusted to that. Our defense was really good for the most part in both halves. It's just offensively, when we are not in sync, we are not very good. Then all of a sudden we go on a couple runs. When we are good we are good but when we aren't we are something other than good."
Freshman Guard Kia Nurse
On embracing her role as a scorer:
"Definitely, in my role outside the [Canadian] national team, I was always in the role of being a scorer and being a leader in that sense. It was just a matter of getting back into that role and where I was. The roles change here and there depending on the places but I'm really comfortable with the role that I have here.:
On what she is learning:
"Yeah, I definitely think there are different approaches to things. The coaching styles are different and how we run our offenses, but in terms of offense we do a lot of read and react with the national team and that has really helped me because there is a lot of read and react and since I was exposed to it early it was a much easier transition."
Senior Center Kiah Stokes
On playing in Mohegan:
"I think it's great. It's a little far from campus, but being in a different environment and playing on a different court is exciting. Also we have more fans here than at Gampel because we are on winter break and the students are gone. It's another opportunity for other fans to come out and see us play."
On her first double-double of the season:
"It's exciting. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of my teammates. They made some great passes that helped free me up and allow me to take advantage of my opportunities. It's is always great to get a double-double because it means you are affecting the game in more ways than one."
