STORRS, Conn. - UConn and Boston College were forced to cancel today's softball game. Originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET in Chestnut Hill, there will be no makeup times available for Wednesday's contest.
The Huskies will hope for sunnier skies tomorrow, when the team hosts Sacred Heart at 3:00 p.m. The game will be Connecticut's final non-conference matchup of the season before the series finale against Central Florida, the top team in the American Athletic Conference. Saturday's doubleheader will be the annual Strike Out Cancer day (read more about the event here) and Sunday will be Senior Day for UConn's three veterans - Katelyn Callahan, Audrey Grinnell and Maddy Schiappa.
More information will be available in the coming days, though fans should be aware that the CT Invention Convention will be held on Saturday, May 3 in Gampel Pavilion and will bring an influx of traffic to campus.
