- UConn put up 528 yards of offense, marking the first time the team has reached the 500-yard plateau in a single game since Dec. 7, 2013 vs. Memphis (538).
- Bryant Shirrieffs put up career-high numbers in total pass yards (365), passing attempts (41), rushing yards (100) and longest rush (38).
- Alex Bloom recorded a career-best five receptions for 97 yards in the setback, while Noel Thomas set a new career mark with 94 receiving yards.
- USF rushed for only 66 yards in the first half but recorded 209 rushing yards in the second half of action.
- With his eighth career 100-yard rushing game, Marlon Mack moved into a tie for second in USF program history. He also now stands at seventh in program history with 1,731 career rushing yards.
- The Huskies have been out-scored 57-to-28 in the fourth quarter this season.
- Bobby Puyol connected on his first two field goal attempts (19, 27) to move to 9-for-9 on the season before missing a 44-yarder in the fourth quarter.
- 12 of the Bulls' 17 first downs came in the second half.
- Junior Joseph recorded his first career interception in the setback.
- Arkeel Newsome, who entered the game seventh in the American Athletic Conference at 23.0 yds/kickoff return, took three kicks back for 89 yards in the loss (29.7).
- USF improves to 8-5 all-time against the Huskies
- Over the past two games, USF has put up 1,001 yards of offense (540 vs. Syracuse, 461 vs. UConn).
- Senior linebacker Graham Stewart recorded a season-best eight tackles in the game, including 1.5 tackles for loss.
- Arkeel Newsome set career bests in receptions (8) and also recorded 74 yards receiving - just three short of his career-best mark.
