Post-Game Notes
- Saturday marked the beginning of UConn's 27th NCAA Tournament appearance. The win against the Terriers improved Connecticut's tournament record to 98-17. UConn's .852 winning percentage in the tournament ranks first all-time.
- The Huskies now sport a record of 23-2 in NCAA First Round games. The last time UConn lost in the First Round was during the 1993 season when the Huskies fell to Louisville, 74-71.
- Saturday's victory gave UConn its 98th win in NCAA Tournament play. Connecticut can join Tennessee as the only other school with 100 wins in tournament play with victories in the next two rounds.
- Connecticut forward Morgan Tuck tallied a career-high 26 points in Saturday's win. She also posted career-bests in assists (8) and field goals made (12).
- UConn freshman guard Kia Nurse (12 points) matched a career-high with four 3-pointers against the Terriers. She was one of four Huskies to finish in double-figures on Saturday.
- Husky junior forward Breanna Stewart recorded her 23rd career double-double in the win, finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds. It was her ninth double-double this season.
- Connecticut center Kiah Stokes tallied 10 rebounds in the win. It marked the ninth time the UConn senior posted double-digit boards this season.
- The Huskies finished the game with a 68-6 advantage in points in the paint. UConn has scored at least 50 points in the paint in each of its last three games.
