Huskies Fall at Bryant, 6-1

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The UConn men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Bryant University on Wednesday afternoon. Â The Huskies fall to 2-14 on the season.
The Huskies picked up a point in singles play as sophomore Parker Goldstein (Marietta, Ga.) notched a straight-set victory at #4 over Joshua Rubinstein, 6-0 and 6-4. Â
Freshman Jonathan Edwards (Isle of Palms, S.C.) and senior Joshua Palmer (Dalton, Pa.) teamed up for a doubles victory at #3, beating John Templeman and Corey DiPaola, 8-7 (7-4). Â
Edwards lost a three-set battle in singles play at #3 to Max Vogt. Â Edwards won the first set 6-1 but fell 6-3 and 6-4. Â Junior Andrew Ginzberg (Woodbridge, Conn.) also dropped a three-set match, losing to Jorge Ortiz-Garcia at #5, 6-1, 5-7, 6-3.
The Huskies travel to American Athletic Conference foe East Carolina this weekend to take on the Pirates and Richmond.
