No. 13 UConn Travels to Yale on Tuesday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Winner of six-straight matches, the UConn men's soccer team returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 11 when it travels to the campus of Yale to take on the Bulldogs at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcasted on ESPN3 with radio coverage on WHUS.org, 91.7 FM.
UConn (9-3-0) extend its season-best winning streak with a dominant 5-0 showing against Cincinnati on Saturday night at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. Senior tri-captain Kwame Awuah (Toronto, Ont.) led the offensive charge, scoring a pair of goals, while the Husky defense tallied its fourth-straight clean sheet, holding the Bearcats to just two shots in 90 minutes of action.
The Huskies own a 39-26-4 all-time mark against Yale in a series dating back to 1935. The two programs last met in 2015 when Connecticut grabbed a 1-0 victory at Morrone Stadium behind a second-half goal from Awuah.
The Bulldogs enter Tuesday's tilt with a 1-4-2 overall mark, including a 1-1-0 record at home. The team fell, 2-0, to Dartmouth in its last outing on Saturday.
During the Huskies' six-match winning streak, the team has outscored their opponents by a 15-to-2 margin. Through 12 matches in 2016, Connecticut holds a 0.58 goals against average and is averaging 1.83 goals on the offensive end of the pitch.
