STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team (0-2) will welcome the Fairfield Stags (0-1) to Ray Reid Field at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium on Thursday, August 27. Kickoff is set for 6:00pm and will be streamed on UConn+.

UConn is coming off a loss at UMASS over the weekend. The Huskies have been led by senior forward Elijah Langford who has found the back of the net in each of UConn's first two games this season. His two goals rank 9^th nationally. UConn has averaged nine corner kicks per game which ranks 8^th in the country.

A Look at Fairfield

The Fairfield Stags are coming off a 2-1 loss at No. 12 Marshall in their season opener last Thursday. The Stags are coached by Krystian Witkowski entering his third season. Fairfield was voted to finish in fourth place in the Metro Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. The Stags are led by a pair of sophomores, Sean Albritton and Alex Vaz, each selected to the Preseason All-Metro Conference Team.

Series History

These two programs last met in 2024, resulting in a 0-0 draw at Morrone Stadium. UConn is 2-1-2 all-time against Fairfield.
