Huskies Race in Northeast Regionals on Friday

BRONX, N.Y. - After placing fourth in the American Championships on Oct. 29, the women's cross country team returns to action on Friday, Nov. 11 for the NCAA Cross Country Northeast Regional at Van Cortland Park in Bronx, N.Y. The race is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
The Huskies were led by Erika Randazzo (Norwalk, Conn.) in the conference meet, the sophomore finished 25th overall (21:54.6).
The Huskies have had quality performances from their underclassmen this season, sophomores Lindsey Kane, Courtney Ackerley, Haley Hasty, Mary Monda Oewel and freshmen Danielle Jordan.
Lindsey Kane (18:50.8) and Danielle Jordan (18:36.6) both notched top-50 finishes in the New England Championships on Oct. 8.
Haley Hasty (22:07.3) and Mary Monda Oewel (22:00.2) recorded top-30 overall finishes in the conference meet. Hasty was also the Huskies top finisher in the Rothenberg Run on Oct. 14, placing fifth overall (17:40.8).
The NCAA Division 1 National Championships will be held on Saturday, November 19 at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind.
