UConn Loses 5-2 to Temple in AAC Match

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - The UConn men's tennis team dropped their second American Athletic Conference match over the weekend, falling at home to Temple, 5-2, at the East Hartford Tennis Club. The Huskies fall to 2-10 on the season.
The Owls swept the doubles point and won four of the six singles matches en route to the win. Down 2-0 in the match, UConn's Christopher Toner (South Hamilton, Mass.) pulled the Huskies to within one thanks to a 6-1 and 6-2 win over Florian Mayer at #3.
Junior Arnaud Valentin (Ridgefield, Conn.) earned a three-set victory at #5, beating Hicham Belkssir, 6-7, 6-2 and 6-4.
The Huskies in Orlando, Florida this weekend to face Florida Gulf Coast and conference foe UCF.
