UConn Club Awards Program To Be Streamed Live

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn Club hosts its 63rd Annual Awards Ceremony on Tuesday night at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts.
For those who are not attending, the event will be streamed live by CLICKING HERE with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
A number of Huskies will be honored as Outstanding Senior Scholar-Athletes and Outstanding Senior Athletes. In addition, UConn's Student-Athlete Advisory Council joins the event this year with a number of special new awards.
The UConn Club will also present the Don Ruck Award to a student-athlete who has shown great leadership and community service.
The Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletes will present is prestigious Don Kinsman Award. Former
UConn men's ice hockey captain Matt Carlin '89 will receive the Red O'Neill Award. The Red O'Neill Award is given annually by The UConn Club to a former Husky student-athlete who has mirrored the Red O'Neill-type attributes of character, leadership, athletic ability, and later, a successful career.
Carlin currently serves as the Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Previous to his appointment at the DPS, Carlin was the CEO of Resource Options Inc.
James and Jane Mitchell, both UConn Class of 1983, will be honored with the A.J. Pappanikou Outstanding Contribution Award for their long-time support of the Huskies.
