STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut women’s athletics programs are currently ranked second in the 2015-16 Capital One Cup winter standings as announced by the organization Wednesday.
The Huskies have earned 69 points so far toward the Capital One Cup after their fourth consecutive national championship in women’s basketball in addition to their top national placements for field hockey and women’s soccer.

With strong performances remaining in spring sports, Connecticut has the opportunity to bring home the Capital One Cup and $200,000 in student-athlete scholarship funds to their athletics department and be honored at the ESPY Awards in July.
