Varsity Four Finishes Third At American Championship

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The University of Connecticut varsity four boat finished in third place at the American Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday at the Sacramento State Athletic Center on Lake Natoma.
UConn finished sixth overall in the event while UCF won the team title. UConn time at 7:41.9 in the varsity four in a race won by UCF ion 7:35.2 while Tulsa was second in 7:39.5
UConn finished sixth in the varsity eight and second varsity eight, fourth in the third varsity eight, fifth in the second varsity four and sixth in the third varsity four.
Senior Laura Webster (Seymour, Conn.) won first team all-conference honors for the Huskies while senior Emily Powers (Lyme, Conn.) was named second team.
