UConn Game Notes
EUGENE, Ore. - The top ranked University of Connecticut women's basketball team kicks off the inaugural PK 80 Invitational Saturday, Nov. 25 against Michigan State. The Huskies and the Spartans join Oregon and Oklahoma at Matthew Knight Arena for the women's portion of the Invitational. The tilt will be available on SNY Network and ESPN 3.
Through four games this season, UConn is boasting six double-digit point scorers, five of whom have played in all four games. All-American Katie Lou Samuelson is leading all players with 16.5 points but missed the squad's two most recent wins following a foot injury suffered in a victory against Cal on Nov. 17. Samuelson is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game and will be evaluated on a week-by-week basis.

Guard Crystal Dangerfield is averaging 16.3 points per game during her breakout sophomore campaign after averaging just 6.2 points a season ago. All-American Napheesa Collier is trailing closely behind with 14.5 points per game. Last season's National Defensive Player of the Year, Gabby Williams, is just short of averaging a double-double putting up 11.8 points per game and 9.3 boards per game.
All four of UConn's wins have come against ranked teams and the Huskies' average margin of victory during that span is 25.8 points per game. Connecticut has won 17-straight games against teams ranked in the top-five of the Associated Press Poll.
This season, both Connecticut basketball teams will be taking part in the PK80 Invitational in honor of Phil Knight's 80th birthday. The UConn men's basketball team defeated Oregon, 71-63, on Thanksgiving and will take on Michigan State on Friday, Nov. 24 at 12 a.m. ET in the Moda Center in Portland, Ore.
