UConn loses at Army West Point, 6-1

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The UConn men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to the Army Black Knights on Sunday at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center in West Point, N.Y. The Huskies fall to 2-4 in dual match play with the loss.
The Huskies picked-up their lone point on the afternoon in singles play with freshman Jacob Appleton (Farmington, Conn.) earning a win. Appleton won a three-set battle at No. 5 singles with Michael Sienko. Appleton won the first set, 6-1 but dropped the second, 6-3. Appleton rebounded in the third and took the match, 6-3.
Senior Arnaud Valentin (Ridgefield, Conn.) lost a tough three-set decision at No. 3 to Sam Lampman, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.
The Huskies will be back in action on Sunday in West Point, facing the University of Buffalo.
