Fourth Annual SAAC O’Lantern set for Oct. 29

STORRS, Conn.—The UConn Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is hosting the fourth annual SAAC O'Lantern event on Monday, Oct. 29th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event is part of the Husky Community Initiative – inviting parents and elementary aged children— come out and show support.
The Halloween-themed event will take place at Gampel Pavilion and all elementary school children are welcome. The children will be able to interact with UConn student-athletes from all sports as they trick-or-treat and play games around the concourse. It will give the children a chance to spend time with their favorite UConn athletes and show off their Halloween costumes.
Along with these fun activities for the kids, UConn student-athletes will be able to earn Husky Cup points in a fun, table-decorating competition. Each team will have an opportunity to decorate a table and will be judged on certain criteria. The winning team will win the "SAAC-O-Lantern Champion" plaque.
SAAC encourages everyone in attendance to dress up in their costumes. There will be a $1 charge at the door - all donations will be given to a local charity.
