Swimming Hosts Pair of Meets to Close Semester

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn swimming and diving team wraps up the fall semester with a pair of home meets this weekend on Friday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 1 starting at 1 p.m. at the Wolff-Zackin Natatorium.
Boston College comes to town on Friday while Williams College and Boston University compete against the Huskies on Saturday. A live video stream will be provided on UConnHuskies.com for Friday's meet against the Eagles.
UConn last competed in Indianapolis at the House of Champions Invitational on Nov 16-18. The women secured a runner-up finish while the men finished fourth.
Will Kearsey helped highlight the meet by setting a school and meet record in the 50 Free with a time of 19.82. The time was an NCAA "B" standard time.
The Huskies recorded numerous season-best times and continued positive momentum heading into the final stretches of the fall semester.
Last season the Huskies traveled to Boston University and picked up a pair of dual meet victories against the Terriers. The last time the Huskies met with the Eagles of Boston College was Jan. 24, 2015 at Wolff-Zackin Natatorium.
At Friday's meet fans can participate in the annual Chuck A Duck competition. Fans can purchase a duck for $1 to throw into a float in the pool for a chance to win a prize. All proceeds will go towards the UConn Dance team's trip to Nationals.
On Saturday it will be Junior Husky Day with the opportunity for Junior Husky members to take part in a free swim after the meet. For more information please contact, juniorhusky@uconn.edu
