Huska Tabbed Hockey East Player of the Week

STORRS, Conn. - UConn junior goaltender Adam Huska (Zvolen, Slovakia) was named the the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after posting his first shutout of the season. This is the third league defensive honor for Huska in his career.
Huska made as season-best 39 stops on Friday to come away with a 1-0 victory at Vermont. The junior netminder made 10 first-period saves before kicking out 12 in the second and 17 in the third. It marked his second career shutout. On the season, Huska owns a 2.49 goals against average with a .924 save percentage. He is 3-2-1 on the year.
Huska and the Huskies are back in action on Friday night when they travel up to Northeastern for a Hockey East match-up. The game will be carried live on NESN at 7 pm.
