» Following their bye week, the Huskies will return to the ice for a matchup against
Northeastern University at Bentley arena on Friday, Feb. 6.
» The final stretch is upon us as the Huskies have only 9 games remaining this regular
season 3 of which are home games.
» Prior to the bye week, the Huskies finished the weekend 2-0 and won the CT Ice tournament after upsetting no.6 Quinnipiac by a final of 4-2 in the championship game.
» Huskies return to the CT Ice Tournament as the reigning champs. UConn took down
Quinnipiac in game one of the tournament by a final of 2-1 followed by a 1-0 win over
Sacred Heart to secure their first CT Ice Championship.
» Point Streaks: Jake Richard has 10 points in his last 6 games, Joey Muldowney is riding
a 10-game point streak, Ryan Tattle has registered a point in 13 of the last 16 games.
» Hobey Baker Nominee: Jake Richard, Joey Muldowney and Tyler Muszelik have been
named Hobey Baker Nominees. Richard has 7 goals and 15 assists for 22 points while
Joey Muldowney has 13 goals and 8 assist for 21 points.
» Hockey East Seeding: With the final stretch underway, the Hockey East standings are
still wide open. 9 points separate 1st place to 5th place. Huskies currently sit in 3rd
place with 28 points, just 3 points behind BC for second place.
» Mike Richter Watchlist and Hobey Baker Candidate: Senior Goaltender Tyler Muszelik
has been named to the Mike Richter Award Watchlist and a Hobey Baker Nominee.
Muszelik is posting a 14-5-3 record with a .930 save % and 2.16 GAA.
» Hockey Humanitarian: Over the holiday break, senior Ryan Tattle hosted his 5th annual
Score for Cancer game. Following the completion of the game Sat. Dec. 20, Tattle has
raised over $180,000 for Cancer Research.
» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase
Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,
Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
