Bulls Walk Off to Win Series, 3-2

TAMPA, Fla. The UConn baseball team were unable to close out a late 2-0 lead on a Sunday with USF scoring two in the eighth and a run in the ninth to nab a series win, 3-2.
The bullpen had low margin for error with the Husky bats only scoring two runs on four hits.
Chase Gardner was excellent on the mound for the Huskies with 5.2 shutout frames allowing just four hits and striking out five.
The Huskies and Bulls trades zeroes on the scoreboard until the seventh when the Huskies loaded the bases with no one out. Troy Stefanski scored Susi from third on a RBI fielder's choice. The USF third baseman made a diving stop but his throw to the plate pulled the catcher off the dish.
The Huskies managed only one more run on a double play ball off the bat of Christian Fedko.
Jacob Wallace pitched 1.1 scoreless inning for the Huskies out of the pen including getting a groundout to first to strand the bases loaded in the sixth.
Joe Genord hit a two-run homer to tie the game in the eighth before Duke Stunkel Jr. walked off the Bulls with a bloop RBI single in the 9th.
The Huskies return to action on Tuesday, March 27 at Boston College beginning at 3 p.m.
